Stories to learn
Hello,
As someone interested in, and clearly knowledgeable about writing for children, I wanted to let you know about a new project all focusing on wonder of storytelling. I'm hoping that you either may be able to help, offer advice, are interested in the premise, or could share this with people who would like to get involved. Even a tweet would be grand!
Let’s Tell Stories was set up by myself and Javier Orti due to our belief that words give structure to our thoughts and feelings, and stories put perspective on things, offer understanding, help us reframe ideas, and look for solutions. Basically they are a hugely enjoyable tool that can help people improve their lives and inspire themselves to be better.
We are not looking for the next Nobel prize, or the perfect grammar, or best creative writing. In fact, we are not looking for anything. We just want to create a space that shares the power of writing, reading and stories. The site is still in evolution, but you can visit it here. You can find out more about the project, and its founders on there, as well as see some examples of the stories we are looking for.
If you know anyone keen to read or write simple tales, children’s stories, fables or morals that you have written or want to write, please send them over to us at letsstellstories.org@gmail.com. Not only is it a great outlet for people’s work, but a way to explore things, and share the wonder of storytelling!
Any questions, comments, or thoughts please do get in touch with myself or Javier onletstellstories.org@gmail.com
Look forward to hearing from you,
Francesca
